A comment in another post made me think,( yea it hurts 8) )

When you clean your carry gun:

Do you put it right back to carry?

Do you shoot ??? rounds before you carry it?

I have 2-3 similar guns, when I clean the one I'm carrying, I like to shoot a couple mags to check function.

So I carry a different gun that I've done that with...

What do You do??...

I have a mouse gun that I carry constantly, so it gets a little pocket lint. I strip it down every couple of weeks, reassemble, and function test.
I live in the country with my own berm so that's not an issue.

A Gunsmith I use occasionally that lives in the center of town, has a 10 gallon bucket 3/4 filled with sand, rags on top and a lid with a port to test fire guns that he has worked on. Surprisingly quiet with a semi auto. Revo's are a little more noisy.

I shoot my CCW (R9) every couple months. I clean it and relube after each session (mainly so it's clean in my pocket)

I have a habit of blowing out the barrel periodically because I'm paranoid about lint/debris getting in the barrel.
