When do you clean your carry gun?

Now the Glock vs?? begins. LOL.

What's to vs? There's lots of fine guns out there to choose from. I choose Glock. And since it is a Glock, I don't worry about whether it will go bang or not. it will go bang. That is not the point though, I believe. I still keep it clean and lubed properly. (Mostly anyway).

Once a week. When I clean after we shoot once a week, sometimes twice a week. I liked it, even though we are in the County and could just step outside to test, it was easier and kept the noise from bothering the neighbors down the road, worrying them, even though we had a firing range out back, but sometimes I would test one late at night, early morning and that was a off time to be doing so, so the Pipe down through the floor to the earth worked great.

Why clean your Glck. They work dirty. It saves ammo by not wanting to function test after cleaning.

As long as a gun functions, it's a good gun. I just prefer the ugly black ones, they work for me.

But mines not all black....

Unfortunily the stainless actually shows being dirty worse then my all black ones. So it's gets cleaned all the time so it stays looking pretty.
But as of lately I've been carrying my XDS9. I funtion tested it when I got it and have been carrying it since. Havent cleaned it at all yet other then when i first got it.

I habitually clean my carry weapon every Thursday. Then I go make sure I have a clean shave with my Ka-Bar. Splash a little Hoppes #9 on for aftershave and my wife goes crazy. 60% of the time, it works every time.
