We have been on two Alaska cruises. One round trip out of Seattle, and the other a flight to Anchorage, train trip to Seward, and a one way trip to Seattle. I HIGHLY recommend the one-way trip. You get twice as much time in ports of call.
We did the Caribbean beach thing for years; Alaska beats them all with the grandeur of the scenery.
We did Vancouver to Seward Aug 16-23rd. The scenery was outstanding. We didn’t get to do near the cool stuff @hunter966 did. Been planning this trip for years, wife was sick and miserable the WHOLE trip!!
We’re never cruising again and I’m prohibited from buying a family boat for lake outings. The wife gets motion sick very easily with any movement and even staying doped up on Benadryl and Dramamine didn’t help much.
Poopy!! I may go solo next time.

Get her to go on a cruise again but first go to your doc’s office and get the prescription strength sea sick patches.
My wife did that and it worked great for her sea sickness.

Never met her till that day, but she kept trying to make me the catch of the day, and I wasn’t even putting out the vibes. I wear on wimmins that way!
Or it could’ve been my impressive fishing skills, I took my own fish off the hook after I used the bonk stick maybe that’s what impressed her.
