64 1/2 days and still waiting in Wagoner County. It is like a Basketball game when it gets down to the last minute, they add on the decimal seconds.

That is a good turn around for a renewal. Did you get the 5 yr or 10yr? I went ahead and got the 10 yr when I renewed a yr or so ago.
I don't remember the phone number right off-hand, but if it has been over 70 days on a first time application... and your very polite about asking.. the OSBI's SDA divison has been nice enough to check on the status of permits for some people. A lot of times it may depend on the person your talking to and the kind of day they are having.
In the early days of the SDA, some of the smaller County sheriff's offices use to be bad about sitting on the apps... claiming they were short handed and hadn't had time to get to them... having more important things to do.
We live in the country and our mail is usually at least one or two days late, or delivered to someone else. I am presuming OSBI mails a notice. It seems by the posts, some sheriffs offices call you. I do not know if Wagoner County does that or not. Wifey turned hers in on the 19th, mine was on the 20th. Nothing in the mail or calls today, Saturday. Will ck the mail Monday, and then make a call after that if there is nothing. Monday will be 68 for her and 67 for me if I am doing the math right, mine being on a Friday most likely did not get mailed to OSBI until the following Monday.
Some have posted how long it took, but did not say when they turned it in, so the workload would most likely vary time to time. I do not know current information other than Saddlebum today at 66 in OKC, His mail would most likely have been next day, so hopefully we will be up soon. Thanks Saddlebum for posting when you applied and when you received. Having all the information is good. Wifey took a Ladies Gun Class today. She was very pleased with it, I think she paid more attention than when I talk to her. ( have to click "post" quick before she sees this )

My card was charged on Feb 3rd, haven't heard anything yet, probably got a week or so to wait. I just keep myself distracted by looking at next gun purchases, and clever ways to explain to the Wife why I "needed" that one.

Just passed the 30 day mark in ok co! It sounds as if im about 50% i think they sould have an express option that you could have your permit in 30 days but pay an additional 75-100 bucks. That way if you are willing to wait, then you can save money. If you are in a hurry than you can pay a convience fee. More revenue to the state / quicker turn around for those who need it / status quo for everyone else. By the time you decide to get your ccw, enroll in a class 4-6 weeks in advance depending where you take it. It can easily be a 3-4 month process. If i took a job in a bad part of town 4 months maybe unacceptable, hone your num-chuck (sp) skills people
