If you have a spotless record and good fingerprints, why should it take 90 days to issue a license. Very frustrating!!!!! It's BS that we have to be granted a license in the first place. Just like driving, isn’t a license a privilege not a right? Then I vote to change the Bill of Rights to the Bill of Privileges. This whole process is a violation of our 2nd amendment right and just like little sheep we put up with it.

Remember we did not get where we are all at once. Our rights were taken away a bit at a time. The 1968 Gun Rights Act took a lot of them away and the anti gun crowd has been chipping away. We won't get them back all at once, but we are making progress, at least here in Oklahoma. Several new bills gave us back some of what we lost.

We need to support those who are working to get our rights back and push them to keep it up. Keep electing Second Amendment supporters to both State and Federal Congresses. Support the NRA and other groups who work to further our rights. And as Winston Churchill said, "Never, Never, Never give up."

Well put. It's very frustrating when I have had two occasions since I turned in my application (1st of April), where, I needed to defend myself, and I had to duck and cover and pray I was not hit. You know what they say, "what one generation tolerates the next generation accepts." so I guess we have gained some ground back.

Thanks for putting it back into perspective.

I work at the Tulsa airport and you are required to get a SIDA badge which requires a criminal background check and finger prints. We watch a 1 hour video about ramp security and then you are given your SIDA badge. So if I can have a criminal background check done by the TSA in 1 hour why can't I have one done by the OSBI?

Backlog?? Also, TSA has more of our tax money behind it than OSBI, I figure, so they can hire more people to run checks. Just guessing.

Called OK County Sheriffs Office just now to see if my license has come in. I got a pretty snarky reply from a lady asking if I had gotten a letter and said I had to wait 90 days. She said if I want to check the status in the future I need to call OSBI.

Kinda crappy.

68 days now.
