Nothing like the feel of a dependable 3lb. Hand cannon, revolver.
That feel when you let a round go down range, and the vibration from the percussion wave going thru your body. The rise of your arm as you concentrate on finding your target. I am not a speed guy so it works for me.
You definitely need a good setup if you plan to EDC with one. Not for everyone,
Most do prefer less weight and more flavor. Miller Light Pistols.
I prefer a full bodied pistol myself. 357 mag and up. Full Bodied Banquet Pistols.

I love both revolvers and semi autos. I never worry about round capacity or reloads. I worry more about simply being armed. Most real gunfights are over in less than six rounds anyway. I rotate between a SINGLE STACK Glock, any of my several 1911s and several revolvers like my Colt Detective Special or a S&W 2" Combat Masterpiece, aka M15. I will be picking up a M65 Smith 3" barrel soon, and will add it to my carry rotation.

Was at H&H this morning -- (Wednesday , day before turkey day) - thought id have a look around to see if there were any pre Black Friday deals on anything i actually wanted or needed

Nice prices on S&W products --- when combined with the factory discounts - was very compelling if i actually needed anything --- good prices on Sig 365 variants too as an aside, -- but this is a revolver thread so heck with those

If i hadnt purchased a 686 + from a fellow member here about a month ago, i would have been tempted. The rest of the prices there seemed to be typical for H&H

I honestly didnt look too close , just took note of decent prices on new , shiny things - (after rebates are applied) - but heres a link to their sale flyer -- i will probably be back Friday morning to check on a used pistol i was eying as sometimes they do a 15% off used inventory sale on black friday

For autoloader fans , i think i saw an HK45 for 599 . Even with the rebates, i'm sure we have all gotten deals and given deals to other OSA'ers in the classifieds that rival or even better those from a place like H&H - as their starting prices are generally close to retail anyway -- but if a guy has to have just an exact thing they have and doesn't want to wait - there are worse things to spend money on

As a well-established senior citizen, you might say I've been "around the cylinder". awhile and old habits are sometimes hard to break. Thinking 642 for EDC, Governor for woods walks and X frame for deep dark woods.
But I'm also a realist and been drinking the glock koolaid since early 90's. Latest EDC flavor, thinking G43.
But due to lacking mag cap issues, am currently sipping Sig koolaid thru a P365 10-rd. straw. And for the foreseeable future, that's where I'll likely be.
