We can what if all day long. My example was someone coming in your store and holding YOU hostage. What are you going to do? Who is going to come assist you? Who responded to the Hollywood shoot out? Civilians? Don't think so. Hell why don't we just get rid of all full auto weapons. We don't need them....may Mexico could use them. Oh wait they already have some of our old ones....

And yes I WOULD be coming to save you. I'm on the multi-jurisdictional team with Bixby and Sand Springs......Just so you know

Nobody would hold me hostage, if I couldn't to protect myself I'd piss them off to the point that they would either kill me or leave.

We'd have to kick some of the Bixby cops out of the shop to make room for you out of towners.

Apparently a lot of you haven't seen robocop. The police rocked it out for the citizens.

My serious thought is that the local officers and sheriffs left and right are declaring against anti gun laws. I would rather those guys that have the ability to be armed are just in case. Seems to me like all the Leo's I know I would want them to be well supplied. But with the right funds any person can own a full auto..... Haven't you seen sons of guns....;)

I'm surprised at how many of you are against law enforcement carrying "military style weapons"........We are the one protecting your rears every day....The military carries shotguns and handguns too, should we not have them? that is your argument. Sounds like most of you are just a little jealous. I haven't heard one VALID reason.

Hell yes! I'm jealous! But, its funny to think "you're protecting our rears" is a VALID reason for you to have one and not me.

IMO, if the time comes where I have to pick-up a rifle, the police will be protecting their own property and not my rear.

Lets not forget what a great job the police did protecting the masses in the days after Katrina. Those of you that think the police have a duty to protect you should follow Big Sis's advise. Grab your scissors, call 911 and go hide under a desk and see how well it works for you.

I work for a dept with 50 officers...........We have a population of 25,000. No we can't protect everyone at any given time. Do the math. But for you to say I don't protect the citizens in my community is an absolute slap in the face:finger:. As a matter of fact I was almost killed a couple of months ago trying to get a felon off the streets....Think about the officers out on the streets when you are sitting behind your cute little desk looking out the window.......

Those aren't assault weapons
They are called an offensive select fire police tool to accommodate their glock.
Also a back up tool.
We have 27 of them we would be classified as domestic terrorist.

I'm a Leo and I think the NFA is a bunch of hooey... That being said, Ada probably paid less than 50.00 bucks for each of those rifles... We've got several. Converted we paid less than 100.00 each. Every officer has one, the swat guys have full a's but not mil surplus.
No officer in Oklahoma can carry full auto without seperate training on the platform.
I'd be surprised if Ada's gonna issue them as is

I respect and am thankful for what you and other officers do on a day to day basis. I also think the LEO should have fully automatic weapons. The problem as you have said yourself is that you can not be everywhere at once to protect everyone. The best option for any citizen is to be well armed and well trained to combat any potential situation that they could be confronted with. I pointed out the problems with Katrina to prove that point. Also I do not sit behind a desk sir, I am a plumber.
