Throw out the duck and partake of the brandy
I probably need to elaborate.
In the past, my mom cooked them in some orange marinade crap that tasted like orange.....
A couple of years ago, a cousin gave me a couple of mallard ducks and wanted me to smoke them........not gonna happen. I can eat about anything but that sucked.
The last couple of times we have gone out to eat at the Thai restaurant in Stillwater, I got the "crispy duck" and its awesome!
I've got it twice now, and love it.
