Went into BPS her is Socal too get my son a Henrey Youth Mini-Bolt for his 7th Birthday. They had one on the shelf but as i checked it out it was missing some parts so they agreed to get one shipped in from their Denver location. No problem I have 5 weeks to get it before July 26th (his Bday). In Cali we have a 10 day waiting period to purchase any firearms. Go on vacation with my family. While on vacation I get a voicemail from a lady saying the gun is here and to get it when I get back to town. The first day I went into BPS the told me that I couldn't pay for the gun or do any of the paperwork until the gun got to their store. Said, ok that gives me about 12 days to get the paperwork and waiting period done before my son turns 7. Get back and the next day I drive the hour to BPS. Go up and tell them I had a gun ordered and that I need to get it all done asap because of our focked up Cali waiting period. The were in the back of the store for 45+ minutes doing how knows what. The came out and said that the gun was not ordered and they don't have it. I came friggin unglued. They brought managers out and the whole nine yards to calm the situation. They go back to the offices for another 30+ minutes and cam out and said that there has been a mix up. No chit! They said that another employee had SOLD MY FOCKING GUN TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER SEVERAL DAYS PRIOR TO ME GETTING THERE. They went back somewhere again to talk. Came back out and then told me that the "other employee" ordered one the day he sold my gun and that it should be here in 3-5 business days. Asked them to explain to me how the hell am I going to wait for shipping then pay for the gun and wait the 10 days to get it for my sons birthday which is in about 12 days. They acted like they were doing me a favor by getting the manager to allow them to make the purchase and start the 10 day wait beofre the gun got here when they told me originally that it was against the law to do that. In the end I spent about 3.5 hours at BPS dealing with ******* but I got the gun in time and he loves it. SOrry for the long post.
A buddy of mine has one of the mossberg atr rifles and a spring and a screw broke in it and he can't pay to have it repaired, so I call mossberg to see if it was under warranty they said no and I asked if I could buy the parts he told me no that I had to mail the rifle to them pay them to do the work and pay to have the gun mailed back to me. I asked how much the work would cost I don't remember how much it was but it was high and I said I wish you guys would just sell me the parts and he said tough sh*t and hung up on me. So guess what company records their customer service calls I called back asked to talk with a manger told him the story he said he would get back with me in a few days and he told me he was sorry then 3 days later a get a package in the mail with free gun parts and a mossberg key chain.
I gotta take this back now because dustingaunder and another OSA guy (who I don't know if he wants you slackers to know he works for OGE so he shall remain nameless unless he tells me otherwise) helped me out and we got everything straigtened out.
At the Academy in Rogers, AR... I saw a guy handing a CZ .22LR, but I couldn't tell if it was a 452, 453, or 455. So I asked the guy behind the counter if it was a CZ 452 (my best guess) and his reply was "No, it's a .22."
