I was a microscopist for the environmental lab of a couple government contractors. We had nice and fairly powerful magnification Nikon microscopes and when I was in school at McCrone Research Institute in Chicago we worked with both TEM & SEM electron microscopes. The tiny world is a beautiful anď scary dangerous place and our human perception of it so small in comparison to what is there that can kill you

Here's another thing to think about, atoms are almost nothing but space. If you took away the empty space in an atom only the protons and neutrons would remain. So our whole body could probably fit in a match head. There's no such thing as a "solid object". If we could line up all our atoms correctly we could just walk through a concrete wall.

Tried that once in a '66 Chevy......not so good....

We're insignificant in the eye of the world, but everything in God's eye. Jesus thought I was worth dying for.....therefore, I am significant.
