Actually has been observed as as far back in the 1980's and we are talking about protons, neutrons and electrons and yes, it does deal with quantum physics. God, from many beliefs created the Universe from NOTHING (apparently even time failed to exist before the big bang.) The Bible states God said, "let there be light." Atheism though ignores the parallels. So on the scale of events, size, strangeness etc. all are there many things that science almost explains. On a sub atomic level this list encompasses classical physics, not necessarily Brane Theory. Imagine time not existing, no past, present or future, that is even more mind numbing...You’re talking about quantum physics & virtual particles. This is a concept/theory & the virtual particles cannot be observed. They can theoretically interact with other particles. So, I’m not sure this concept adds credence to the theory of evolution. Interesting stuff though
