I'm surprised the things tail didn't come off.

25 years ago I was working a seismic line,,,
I saw a 'dillo and decided to catch it.

Easy enough to grab it by the tail,,,
But when the thing dug in and tried to escape,,,
His dang tail tore off just like those danged lizards in California.

Years ago, we were riding horses and scared up a couple of armadillos. One had a short stubby tail, and that sucker could run. He outdistanced his buddy in a hurry. :D
