Logic has nothing to do with it. This is about continuing the racial divide and getting new TVs.

Your not dealing with people who live by logic or common sense good sir. Your dealing with people who for the most part have their hands out crying we owe them & that are just waiting for the moment when chaos breaks out so they can go wild.
I have a few friends that live in Florida, one of which is a current Veteran & he went & loaded up on slugs for his shotgun just incase it gets as bad as it could be. That tells me all I need to know about the atmosphere down there right now & the massive racial divide the media, this administration & this case has caused.
First of all, I am not racist. But a lot of blacks really piss me off. I am just not afraid to say what is on my mind. In black peoples minds every white person is a cracker and a racist. Yet a black can call a white person every name in the book and it is not racism. In truth, blacks are the most racist people there are. And all you ever hear are blacks running their mouths about how they have been oppressed for the past 400 years or some crap. Well the last time I checked none of them have ever been oppressed. They like to run their mouths how the "white man" has held them back and set them up to fail. Just like on the movie boys in the hood. Laurence Fishburn says to the boys, "why do you think they put a liquor store on the corner in a black neighborhood?" He tried to say that the white man puts that their so blacks can get drunk and kill each other. Yes I know that is a movie but it the logic that real blacks have. It really pisses me off today. I mean, we have a black president. Yeah that is some oppression there. It doesn't matter how much they are given they will always want more. And whites will always be the scum holding them back.
Is this the white or the blacks preparing?
So what is this BS about the judge "might" ask the jury to consider lesser charges. I thought this was a trial dealing with a murder charge. Or is it just lets throw a bunch of crap on the wall and see what sticks.

It's this way in almost every murder trial around the country. It's called "lesser included charges". Not anything out of the ordinary.
What yukon said is correct, it's pretty normal. It's usually just a way for the prosecutor to carve another notch in their conviction column and the defendant usually gets less time. What's different about this particular case is that the defense is going to fight the lesser charge(s). That usually doesn't happen. They will lose that fight and they know it, but objecting to it gets it on the record. And it sucks because I think I heard one of the prosecution team let it slip today that manslaughter AND aggravated assault would be okay with them. Not sure exactly where the agg assault came from but I heard it discussed by the talking heads. The really ****** thing about it is that GZ can get more time on the agg assault than on the "greater" manslaughter charge since a firearm was involved. For some reason FL's "10-20 law" doesn't apply to manslaughter. Make no mistake this judge is doing everything she possibly can to see a conviction happens here. It's really a damn shame.
EDIT: Oh and the jury will not know about the sentencing details either! That's not part of their deal. So unless one of them just happens to know the law, they may convict on an agg assault thinking he may be able to get off with very little to no time when reality is that he'll get 30 years on it.
