"you cut me off in traffic and by that, you threatened my life."

Shoot 'em Elizabeth Shoot 'em!

Ya'll seem to have lots of road rage around here.

While I'm not defending either of these guys, you must understand that this happened in Edmond. Land of the 35'ers. 35 MPH in a 45 MPH zone, 35 MPH through a neighborhood full of children playing. Drivers are too important admiring themselves in the mirror and huffing their own farts to give a damn about anyone else. Causes a lot of anger issues for the small percentage of us who aren't yacking on cell phones and trying to drive the posted speed limit while still being respectful to others.

Just as dumb as the guy with the gun following him into the parking lot and pulling his gun out when the other motorist approached him.

Like I said, they are both winners of the idiot of the day award.

Getting out of your car to approach another driver in this situation is the catalyst. A guy in Tulsa did this, got stabbed and was DRT, sorry, some dumb ass acting stupid and behaving irrationally is not worth risking my life over, neither is my truck. His best course of action was to dial 911 and just keep driving until help arrives. Obviously the other driver was stupid for brandishing, but he was approached by the other driver in what was probably a threatening manner. What would you do?

Which wasn't exactly specified in the article, but as one of the comments mentioned on one of the news station's Facebook link to the story, there's 3 sides to this story -- the victim's story, the suspect's story, and the truth.

While both dudes are idiots, you're probably right, I doubt the victim hopped out of his car holding a flower and wanting to give hugs of apology.

Many catalysts in this story. If the guy with the gun hadn't followed the other motorist...he wouldn't have been in the position of being approached in the first place. The gun owner put himself in this situation. Armed citizens have the duty and responsibility to avoid these types of situations at all times. He could have avoided it by driving on....instead he chose to follow and take part in an altercation.

But, for the sake of discussion, even if you leave all that preceeded out...being approached by a visibly unarmed individual on foot, while you are secured inside a 2,000 pound machine is not justification for presenting a firearm. Roll your window up, lock the door, and drive away.

i know my dad will read this and say im dumb for doing it but i had my .45 in my truck unloaded no ammo in the truck. i got off work from the devon tower and was coming home last year. i was taking i-40 merging onto i-35 southbound and there is two lanes on the right, my lane and a lane to my left. I was merging and with no room what so ever this guy decided to get into my lane he was actually trying to push me out of his way in the middle of traffic for no reason. there was no need to get into my lane at all. so i held my horn on him for a good three minutes while we were stopped. he decided to get out of his car(on the highway) and come back to my truck. simply put instead of beating his ass for being stupid. I held my gun up in my truck. i did not point it at him i simply showed him that i would be willing to go there if i needed too. he got back in his car and acted like a completly perfect driver. so what i did was not right it could have been avoided with someone not driving like an idiot. same thing as this deal on the news.

You need to give that gun back to your Dad. You don't have any business owning one.
