Are 18 yr olds that are allowed to enlist in the military kids or men?

As an ex Army Reserve Drill Sergent (after active duty), I'll say they are kids, and then are developed into men.

This digresses from the OP though about a Revolution.

Oh my goodness! I'm failing to live up to your version of political correctness? I referred to young men and women as kids. I've been caught and I abdicate my throne in shame.

Whatever on the PC stuff...does our military still accept minors? You know those not the age of majority.

I don't forsee the kind of circumstances under which I would shoot an American kid in uniform. Simple as that.

Me too. And I believe when the time comes when we have to take control of our country/government the militay will be in the barracks. Sure there may be incidents but the US Military will not follow unlawful orders. During a transition period you will have to worry about your neighbor more than anyone in uniform.

Nice thought, but the reality is that that might not happen?
When Stationed in Korea, in the 70's, there were race riots going on in the US.
Those of the same ethethinticy, decided to support their brothers by not going to work.

MP's with tear gas convinced them to leave the barrakcs, and get medical care.

Unfortunatly, the Military is not so cut and dry now.
