Of course. There always has been, it's only natural. Historically, gay Native Americans were treated just like the other tribespeople. It's part of Native heritage, seeing others as equals, and embracing different cultures.

A lot of tribes valued their gay members, considered them wise for possessing both male and female spirits. Or so I understand.

Makes sense to me. Could be part of the reason some tribes kidnapped children and then raised them as part of the tribe. Keep the numbers up, since a large number of tribe members not producing children could hurt the tribe's survival over time.

There have always been gay members in my tribe and they were never in the closet unlike quite a few gay white folks I have known.

I say let em do what they want, theyre not bothering me.
