does anyone have a recommendation for some hard to destroy dog toys? I have a pit but she literally never played with toys even as a pup. So I never had to buy toys.
My american bulldog on the other hand is a toy destroying machine. I bought her several new toys for xmas and she has destroyed every single on of them. She had a jolly ball- destroyed the handle in less than 30 minutes the rest of it is pretty rough now too. Ropes last a few days but I would like a toy that lasts longer than that! I don't want to keep spending money on junk.

I've had a couple of GSDs who were that way. I never found anything ... Finally gave up and just gave them pieces of logs about the same diameter as my wrist and 18 or so inches long to chew on and lug around. My vet was mortified but hey!! At least they would last a little while ... :D Dogs never were any worse for the wear ...

LOL ... I'm a little ray of sunshine, aren't I?!? :D

Try Kong toys. They're pricey, but they do last.
I'll second the recommendation for Kong toys. I nicknamed my dog Destruct-o-matic because of her uncanny ability to destroy things in a matter of days that my previous dog, a champion shredder of the indestructible, couldn't trash during his lifetime. I've had her for four years, and she still has several Kong toys that I bought when I first brought her home, including a few that stay outside (though those are, admittedly, showing some weather damage).
