There are still plenty of places to buy food in New Mexico. A relatively few Covid soaked places have been closed down for a couple weeks so they can decontaminate themselves.
What's the big deal?
Not sure what you're talking about. I am in Carlsbad two weeks a month and I can assure you this is having drastic affects on many of the locals.

People are waiting in lines hours and there is little available when they get inside.

They did this in Lawton back in April and May. We had a field day with the mayor/city council. They issued a mask order with instructions how to make one with a bandana, but their essentials only mandate made bandanas off-limits because they're 'apparel'.

Maybe a little of both. I'm not convinced that people are starving because the Walmart in Albuquerque is closed for a couple of weeks. I may be wrong, and I'm not saying that I'm unequivocally hand-on-the-Bible right. I'm just posting on OSA.
