All of the 3 US made pickup 2500's and duallys were 8x6.5 Up untill Ford changed its around the 2000 or 1999 years. Chevy 6 lugs were all 1500's until 1973 models. And when I say all .. its not all but 98% or so. a FEW 5x5's were built with disc brakes 69ish up until 73 when all were... THEN 6 lug was only 4x4's But 2500's for the most part were ALL 8x6.5 Excluding freaks like this . That Ford called a heavy half. And GM called it something i'll bet. But nobody knows.I thought 95 was the changeover year from 6 to 8 lug on the 2500s.

Behind bars or vacation? Inquiring minds want to know.Lamesa Texas ! I spent 30 days there one night !![]()
They were known to go out, seen people cut access holes in the beds just so they didn't have to drop the tank. You might also change the fuel pump.
OP's opening post: The truck has been well maintained all its life and I currently drive it all over the OKC metro and it never skips a beat.Did I miss it or has someone else already asked about how long the truck might have been sitting or was it maintained and driven regularly before @CSeverns got it and started driving it? Could make some difference in what needs to be checked out or what maintenance might be needed for the trip.
I’m just gonna say it was one helluva night !!Behind bars or vacation? Inquiring minds want to know.![]()
