Used Running Bear for years as a CB handle, and yes i remember the song had the 8 track of it for years
I never thought so many would remember that song since it was so long ago. I was working in OKC at a cafeteria and one of the cooks sang the song and I would listen to it on the car radio going to and. from work.

We left keys in the vehicles in case some neighbor broke down they could walk to the nearest farmhouse and borrow a pickup. That all changed with the beating and killing of a 70 year old neighbor woman about three miles away. Poor soul, it is still unsolved.

I was a paper boy for the Philadelphia Evening Bulletin, while I was living at the Jersey shore. In the summertime, we had a newspaper honor box on the corner of our front yard (our house was on the main street running the length of the island I lived on.) Every afternoon, I'd put in 10 papers (at 10 cents a piece.) Sometime during the next morning, I go retrieve the leftover papers. If there were two papers left, there was 80 cents in the coin tube.

The box I'm thinking of is so old there's no pictures of it anywhere on the internet! I was a rectangular metal box with a plastic window on the front and an open left side. it was on metal feet and had a metal coin drop tube welded onto it. You stuck the papers in the box and people took them out after dropping the money into the tube. No mechanics at all.

Haven't watched a football game since the kneeling crap started.

One of the things Veterans like say is part of their service was to protect and defend the constitution. I think the constitution absolutely protects their right of free speech as demonstrated by their kneeling.

This is the same constitution that guarantees my right of free speech and association and I don't have to legitimize their speech by watching their game or acknowledging their actions by complaining about them. Our griping makes there actions newsworthy.
