I'm just not creative enough for a ton of ARs

Lots of .450 Bushmaster at the Ardmore Orshchelins today. Also lots of 300WinMag, but I don’t think you can make an AR around that. Could be wrong though, I don’t know much about AR.

I have one and my wife has one. Otherwise I might end up building a 9mm carbine AR but grudgingly. I understand having different calibers but not having multiple ARs if they’re built the same.

Seems like someone, Maybe Faxon Arms, released a 300 WinMag AR. Don't know if you could get components for a build
but that would be a really fun one IMHO.

I like different lengths apparently. I have them in 5.5”; 7.5”; 11.5”; 14.5”; 16” and 18”, across 4 calibers. Each one suits a different purpose and I like it that way!

I agree. If I were to get more ARs, it would be in more calibers and not 5.56.

That said, I also like to have more than one gun in each caliber SO for 5.56/.223 I also have a beautiful CZ 527 with a really cool Leupold scope on it.

I would rather have the CZ. An AR in 7 x 57 might not be bad.

I really don't see how you could have less than 8-12 AR's, rifle version, pistol version, lightweight, .....

300BO
223/5.56 1/7, 1/8, 1/9. maybe leave out 1 or 2 depending on what bullets you want to shoot.
7.62x39, cheap blasting ammo, very accurate with extreme reliability.
308.

I also didn't see much purpose in multiple ARs, but quickly realized the error of my thinking. First off, who can possibly have too many guns? Right, it's not possible. Second off, you gotta have one for each scenario... in each caliber... for each person in the house...

There are so many caliber options as well, some cheaper to plink than others. I stocked up on 6.5 grendel wolf ammo when it was $0.20/per round because it's so fun to plink with (smells funny though). 458 is a blast to shoot and amazing on hogs. 6.8 is extremely versatile. 300 blackout isn't my favorite, but is super cheap to load and shoot and easy on the kids when they shoot it. 556 is, well, it was designed for a purpose and when used correctly, fulfills its purpose very well. PCCs are super fun to shoot and also easy on the kids to shoot. ARs in 22... well, they're the most fun of all of them, binary triggers increase the fun as well.

Large frame ARs (308, 6.5 creedmoor, etc) are fun, but all of mine are super heavy and are not fun to lug around a field or forest. They really don't get much use because if I'm going to shoot those calibers I'm typically going to reach for a bolt action rather than semi rifle.

In all honesty, if I could only have a couple, they would be "mission specific" type rifles (whether that is home defense, hunting, plinking, long range, 3-gun, precision work, etc...), but I have never had a problem justifying having more guns vs less guns.
