Series II Kimber and Taurus. I'll never own anything with Taurus printed on the side.
Oh...I dunno. One of the best pistols I ever owned was a Taurus PT92.
I believe it, but they seem to be VERY hit and miss. The nice ones are nice, but the bad ones are bad. QC isn't the best.

I can't beleiv all the Kimber bashing! LOL! Seriously I have never heard anyone talk bad about them until now. I have owned 4 1911's now. A Norinco (shot great), Colt Combat Commander (lucky to get a 4" group @ 10 yards!), RIA compact ( no problems with gun, just mags), and a Kimber compact cdp II( by far my favorite pistol I have EVER owned)!
I have actually heard a lot of good about the Taurus 1911. Personally I own a Taurus tracker revolver and it is very accurate.
I would have to go with the Llama for a 1911 I would never buy, all though I have had a Llama 1911 .22 that was real cool.

One I have not seen yet and am surprised is a Para. I have not seen a factory one that didn't have issues. Maybe it is just me. I have seen some that had some extensive rework done, but not many factory ones.
Both the Sig GSR and Rock Island. Nothing more than over priced boat anchors.
