Less thank 2k deer checked in today as of now, not a very good ML opener.

I heard one shot all day.

Wind is still howling here, but I’m going to be in a ground blind tucked away down wind “in” a cedar. They might see me, but I don’t think they’ll be smelling me.

Weather is supposed to flip this afternoon. Around 4 ish it should be out of the west and then prime time should be NW. my son and I will be out hoping the deer move with the front.

That’s a heck of a rack on such a young looking buck.

Yeah, we’re not sure if he’s the same deer we’ve been getting night pics of and he just looks different in the light.

Shot my first black powder deer this morning. Shot at about 45 yards and piled up after going about 80 or so.
Not a big fan of dressing a deer in 80 degree weather. Other than that, it was a beatiful morning.
