Pass on my congrats to your brother and sister-in-law!
Does the PVC on the legs help keep coons off? How well does that work?My son talked me out of moving my cell cam, because he thinks a big one will show up where it is. From what I have seen so far today, makes me glad I came home. Same cast of characters I’ve watched for a month or so.
It was 26* on the north side of the Salt Fork this morning and 37* behind my house here in TX. Ironically, there appears to be more deer moving here than there.
It’s youth weekend here in TX, and I’m hoping to get my daughter a shot at one of these two. I saw the wide buck yesterday morning checking cows, and he’s pretty nice.

Awesome! Congrats on the deer and taking out the coyote.I had quite the morning passed on a 3 year old 10 point and was wanting a doe for atleast some meat about 15 minutes later one come by in the timber when I shot she must of turned no blood nothing went to the truck talked to the son in law about it and decided to take the side by side over there and we drove up on her about 100 yards from where I quit looking and one hind quarter was eaten on (I was gone 30 minutes) we put her in the side by side and my sil said look and about 75 yards away a coyote was laying flat in the grass with his ears sticking up sil got him
I got to thinking I’m pretty sure I have an extra leg for that stand. I’m coming back up this week and can get it to you if you want.Blind is 2’ shorter but back in business.
Took about three hours to get the legs cut off, T-posts driven, stood up and new cables ran.Not completely done yet but it will sustain a pretty good wind as it stands.
