This time of the year it’s always a guess where I hunt at you might not see anything for a few days and then it’s like they just appear out of no where chasing and going crazy then nothing again just have to be there at the right time and there isn’t any way of knowing when that is but usually when I’m at work

I was hunting in a ground blind this evening and finally had deer come in, and one little 4 point licked my camera and then came over like he wanted to get in the stand with me. I literally could’ve reached out and touched his nose. He’s going to be a shooter in 4 or 5 years.

I put those cages on all my feeders this year to stop the spinner lickers.
The feeders are staying filled three times longer than past years. I’ll probably buy half of much corn next year.
Like others our bucks have disappeared.
They will likely be found with a doe in some tall grass or a dense part of the woods.

That feeder came without legs, and I didn’t take spinner licking into consideration when I bought the chain link fence post for legs. The first few months that feeder was out the deer were eating 350lbs in less than a week, and it was only throwing for 3 or 4 seconds twice a day. Needless to say, the varmint cage was a must have. 🤬
