Here you go, retrieverman!
First shot was a little off, rushed. Spine hit laid him down cold, but he was not dead. After raising his head to look around for a minute like he wanted to get up, I put another arrow through the lungs.

Heck yeah!!! Funky or not, that’s a great buck! Congrats!!! :thumb:

If I’m remembering right, you weren’t seeing hardly anything a while back, and now you’ve killed two dandy bucks. Persistence and patience pays off. :thumb:

Yes sir. I got their bedding and travel areas marked down better this year. Our overall deer density is not that high, but our buck/doe ratio is fantastic. I couldn't kill a doe Oct -Nov if I tried, all we see are bucks until Dec.

Today was my first trip back to the cabin since the wind storm. I was pleased to find all my feeders upright and functional, all tower blinds and tripod were still up, and believe it or not, my two pop ups were still in place, secured and not ripped to shreds.

Now if the freakin bucks would just move during the daylight hours!

What happened? Warm weather? Hot does?
Same here. Nothing mature last 3 days. Seeing minor chasing but scrapes active and everything I keep hearing is it’s on. Eastern Oklahoma has a lot showing up dead on the highways, only seen one in nw part of the state. Is it weird my rut judgement partially comes from dead highway deer? Lol
