Definitely no pics with your “tongue” hanging out PLEASE !!!!I’m sitting outside in my underwear right now, and I’m not planning on doing much else this evening. I do have my crossbow nearby just in case. I promise to put on pants for the pics if I do get one this evening.
I killed one of my best bucks on a 95* day in 2015, but unless I had big buck potential, there’s no way I’d be out either. My excuse for today? It's 93⁰......

I had a neighbor who decided to chain saw on opening day once. Very frustrating and sorry to hear that for you.Took my son out this morning for his first deer. He managed to spook 3 deer before they came in with his noise and movement
He was too tired to make tonight work, so i went alone for some peace and quiet. Neighbors were on dirt bikes when i arrived. Their oldest left the house twice, blaring on his horn...a doe circled at 40 yards and left with all the commotion. At last light, a buck was coming in at 125 yards. It was going to be close on time. Then the other neighbor started banging a feed bucket and calling their horse. The buck froze and appeared to do a 180. I gave it a couple minutes and climbed down, leaving with no flashlight. The buck said hi at 40 yards...
There’s an old house across the road south of me. It had been vacant for 5 years or so. A creek runs by it and the draw comes up into my place. I had a feeder and box blind by the creek because the deer were using it to travel while the house was empty.I had a neighbor who decided to chain saw on opening day once. One of the places I’ve hunted here in east Texas for close to 30 years is 400 acres with rural subdivisions on 3 sides, and the deer have never seemed to mind “people noises” unless they’re really close to the houses. I try to hunt toward the middle of the property but can still hear what goes on around the houses. Listening to someone mow their yard or some mama screaming at her kid has always bothered me more than the deer. There’s an old house across the road south of me. It had been vacant for 5 years or so. Last year on opening day of ML they weather was nice. The new renter had the windows open and was installing drywall with an air drill.
