From what I’m seeing on camera over the last couple days, I’d say the rut is winding down along the Salt Fork, because bucks are grouping back up and eating with does again. I had a couple pictures of what appeared to be horny teenagers trying to get their first piece, but by the way the does were reacting, I doubt they were successful.

Caught two poacher/trespassers hunting one of my Ponds. They went away very hastily after a discussion about coming on another persons property.

I cannot comprehend how a person/persons can fathom in their mind that it is Ok to go onto another persons property without permission.
Duck or deer hunting?

The deer will get the urge again in about a month, if past performance is a good predictor.

They will, and I’m already seeing what appears to be a second rut here in east TX.
I've met my quota. I hope it's a regular deer orgy and they produce many more little ones for me to chase next year. I'm going to Sequoyah with two doe tags, but they'll get given away if I fill them.
