If you just want meat, the does are thick. My son and I are going back to my buddy’s farm to take a couple more.
The rains and the food happened at a good time. The does are big. His son shot one that was probably 140-150 on the hoof.
8 does on my game cam tonight in one group. Our buck to doe ratio is 45-1 according to the September spotlight survey by the ODW.

I’ve got freezers full of beef, so I don’t need the meat. In 22 years, I’ve never tagged out in Oklahoma. I just thought it was funny the way you worded it, and your friends definitely aren’t out of line for wanting to get the most bang for their buck.

I certainly don't need the meat as there is a lot of last year's deer still in the freezer.
I'm head hunting this year and tomorrow will be the first hunt of the season.
There are a few good heads on the recent trail cam pics that I'll post in the trail cam thread, but I know there are bigger, so it begins tomorrow.

I saw 3 bucks and 22 does this evening and I could only see in two directions. About 50y north and 100y east lol. No telling what I couldn't see.

It's insane how many deer are here. Someone that lives in a wooded area driving through would say there can't be any deer here, all there are is wheat fields and a little pasture with some weed patches.
Little do they know......

I think they do know now, there's someone hunting on almost every neighboring property to me now. All of them have no cover, just wheat, all waiting on deer to leave me so they can shoot them lol. Hopefully they're as picky as I am.

I don’t have a non hunted property within at least 3 miles of me. I used to be able to hunt a lot of them. Now they’re smattered with $5k blinds and food plots. Makes me wish I was 20 years old 30 years ago when land was $400 an acre.
