You’re a Dodge guy, huh?We couldn't build a car that didn't leak a quart of oil on the driveway in the 60s after it was 2 years old. That's all I am saying.

It was a big deal at my house. My dad was on a team for Westinghouse when they were competing for the contract to develop the video communication stuff that was going to be used. They didn't get it and I seem to recall my dad wasn't too upset. He was a bit concerned about being one of the design team of something if it failed!!
One the day of the Moon Walk, we had a HUGE thunderstorm come through (Maryland) and knock out power to the whole neighborhood. Our little street was without power for hours. Finally, we loaded into the car and drove to my aunt and uncles and we all watched it on a small black and white in the den. Got to stay up late that night!!
Looking through some old pictures today and found these 3 unused 10 cent air mail stamps.
U.S. postage stamps issued in 1969 to celebrate man's first visit to the moon. The stamps feature Neil Armstrong's first step on the moon as he stepped off the stairs of the moon landing vehicle. The Earth is visible in the background.
