wow, glad it worked out for you. A guy at work was playing with an iPhone accelerometer app and high side his valkyrie at like 110. Layed there for over 8 hours before someone found him. He was as close to death as anyone could get. That was last labor day & he still aint 100%. Everyone in his family sold off everything they had with 2 wheels.

That happened at a job site parking lot! that i was doing ornamental iron at, at the time!

Yes I've seen them.A friend bought the first one the store I used to work at got.I haven't ridden it yet.Six years ago,Yamaha sent e-mails(a survey) to all sales personal.They wanted our input on the new V-Max.The survey was a multiple choice.For example: How much horsepower? a)160 b)180 c)210.The survey covered most aspects of the design including price(the cheapest choice was $13k).They listened to a lot of what we suggested,17" wheels,redesigned frame,big horsepower.They really missed on two major points,price and weight,somehow they managed to add 85# to an already portly bike and $18k!! I know ,of course, the dsign was already in BEFORE they sent out the survey but it was still interesting. Steve

The guys running them on FJR1300s say they really last a long time; but that cornering ability is sacrificed some.

I own an 07 honda st1300, weighs about 700lbs, cornering would definatly change, it would just taking a little getting use to I guess, I had never thought of using an auto tire, would last much longer, time to google!

Work wasn't scheduled for that day on account of weather.
Someone just came in to check on things & found him.
He lucked out, but had alot of injuries.

I own a VTX and I see alot of owners going over to the darkside and they seem to love it.
For me, I have always had great experiences with Metzler 880's and will probably keep buying those, just because I am a "if it works why F with it?"

I know they wear rather quick, but hey I'm just 3-5k mile a year guy and I replace every couple of years for fear of deterioration of the rubber.

But if you do switch to Dynabeads, come back and let us know if they work well or not nad how many ounces you went with! I would love to get rid of my wheel weights contrary to my above statement about if it works

Ever notice that when someone gets killed while riding a motorcycle or skydiving or skiing, or other activity that is perceived as a high risk activity all the loved ones go on and on about how dangerous it is and vow never to that themselves. But, when someone gets killed in a automobile wreck they all get in their cars and drive to the funeral?

But, when someone gets killed in a automobile wreck they all get in their cars and drive to the funeral?

My wife has an ME880 on the back of her bike and it seems to be wearing great. She rides a V-Star 650 that is a lot lighter than my bike. I will probably put a Metz back on it when this one wears out only because it is what she is used too.

That is funny, never thought of it that way but it sure does fit.

Well, I switched last week and I love them. The chart says 2 oz for front and rear on my bike. I think the only reason it is 2oz on the front is because I have a 150/60 16 on it. Any smaller and I think you would go with 1 to 1 and a half ounce. I would go to the Dynabead website HERE just to make sure. I drove the bike before I put the beads in, and then removed all the wheel weights and put 2oz in the front and 2oz in the rear and rode it again and you could tell the difference. One thing that surprised me was that I had a little tire shake in the front when I took my hands off the bars and after the dynabeads the wobble was gone. Before you guys flame the hell out of me, I don't ride with my hands off the bars, it was just a test. Putting the beads in was real easy too. It comes with a 3 inch section of quarter inch hose and a little bottle. The beads are very small and go in through the valve stem with the core removed. You need to tap the stem to keep them flowing and on the rear I had to fill the tube, then use a little air to get them flowing. All in all it only took about 5 minutes. I had a 40gram weight on the rear and a 30 on the front and now nothing and the ride is awesome.

I have just under 200 miles on the new tires, been on the cross town, done some tight exit ramps, and I really love the new ride. I still have some breaking in period and am keeping it easy for now, but I am an easy rider anyhow.
