Well, My Favorite Store has let Me down. Left a Pistol with them on 10-26-12 to ship to the Vendor, and it wasnt shipped till yesterday, NOW WTH???? Has been setting in the 81st store ALL this time. No resititution has been made, and Manager just said "well, we were going through a change over between UPS and FedX". BS!!! I ship stuff for My Work every day, and its NO BIG thing. Ticked....

Not a fan of Academy for guns. They're a good place to find deals on clothing and sports equipment, but their gun business leaves a lot to be desired. Almost every week corporate Academy runs local ads for guns that the local store(s) don't carry.

The last time I went to Academy they told me that there was NO warranty from them on guns. If I had a problem with a gun I purchased there, I had to send it back to the manufacturer myself.

When I was in the market for the rossi ranch hand, the one on the NW expressway was the only one place that had one in stock. I went down there to get it, and it was obvious that someone had dropped it. The lever loop was dented and the wood was marred. Needless to say I passed on that one.

This is my thinking too.

I understand the OP's frustration. Id forget about the local store management and write an email to corporate.

I bought a gun from Sooner Guns, had a problem with it.
He shipped it back to manufacturer without hesitation.
Mark has great customer service.

The Manufacturer wont accept it from Private individuals, and wanted it shipped from the Retailer, dont know why. I talked to them before I did anything, and I have been told the same thing every time I buy something from them as well. Just now talked to the Store Director, and He is giving Me 25% off My next two purchases. Also talked to the Manfr. and they Do have My piece.
