Multiple fatalities and injuries. Why is it that this happens on military installations so much? It looks like just one shooter.

It doesnt happen as much as it seems. Not like this any way. Yeah, one shooter. My comment earlier was a result of my never trusting the first reports from the field.

That's a strange picture of that shooter, Uncle Money Bags, on your link.

Looks like a rehab cycle of some sort at the Warrior Transition Center at Fort Hood. Its the only pic I have so far, and am not 100 per cent sure it is the same Ivan Lopez, but the age and description fits.

A shooting at Ft. Hood that reportedly left three injured Wednesday was a “soldier on soldier” incident without any terrorism link, a senior Department of Homeland Security source told FoxNews.com.

Pic of Spc. Ivan Lopez.

And how the **** would they know that so quickly? Regardless of whether this turns out to be a random act of violence or a terrorist incident, I guarantee you that idiot didn't know that when they opened their yap! :(

As for this "workplace violence" event, I really don't believe it happened. After all, Obama and the DoD fixed that problem after Hasan. They may the base gun free zone moar gun freer! Yeah, that fixed everything! :censored:

That general was saying that the shooter had recently bought a S&W .45 in Killeen, but didn't have it registered on base. So, I'm a little confused. Can a soldier carry on base if he/she registers their weapon on base? I thought like you, that military bases were off limits for concealed carry.

Absolutely no carry on base. If they even want to bring it on base it has to be registered with the base and stored in the armory.

In my day, it was an option of the base commander, or if assigned security duty, there was no option. You carried. I carried a Mod 12 Trench gun on post many times. There was a 55 gallon drum of sand at the entrance to the PX, barracks, hospital, etc, where you had to clear the weapon. I don't know how it works now.
