That's a question, for sure.

Too bad he couldn't just go buy what he wanted at a pharmacy, without interference.

I typically agree with you on the libertarian stuff but opioids are a whole different ballgame. However, government intervention and attorneys have made things worse.

It sounds like Tulsa, Police, State, and County authorities, didn't mess around, and went in upon arrival! It seems to me, and I know just about everything, that if we would present these punks DEAD BODIES IN AS UNFLATTERING WAY AS POSSIBLE TO THE PUBLIC, PROP THEIR MUTILATED CORPS, UP ON THE STREET CORNER, AND TAKE PICTURES WITH THE HEROS THAT KILLED THEM, LIKE THEY DID BACK IN THE OLD WEST, WOULD THAT START SENDING A DIFFERENT MESSAGE TO THE NEXT MORON, WITH THIS ON HIS MIND?
Yeah, that will go over great with the race baiting MF ers and today's media. Bunch of mostly white cops gathering around their latest kill.

But I do like the idea.

Pain meds; maybe the dr couldn't give him any more by law and he was still in great pain and blamed the dr. No excuse for what he did tho.
Like JD8 said, I don't see how people live in constant serious pain.
Now with the crack down on opioid meds people who really need them have a hard time getting them.

Could that be similar to people abusing gun ownership and the gov wanting to fix it by hurting the people who don't abuse them?

This shooting appears to fall under random and revenge. Stopped by someone there or someone seeing or noting something wrong in the person’s dress, actions, or demeanor.

this is not too different from the Taft shooting a few days ago or the 20 or mor shootings in chicago in any weekend. This is an inability or ineptitude in knowing how to deal with life and an end result of unrealistic expectations from people who are still, at least on an operational level, stuck at four years old in maturity.

the other rash of ”mass shootings” are failures in part by governmental law enforcement and politicians at a much higher level. Most have been on lists to watch. Amazing how they all happen right when politicians need it most to distract and have rational to further erode the rights of the citizenry. We are reaching the point where this will no longer be a federal republic. This will be a democratic state. china russia iran afghanistan venezuuela etal are all democratic states. Selected citizens can vote, those who do not conform can make the citizens more comfortable by providing slave services and dying.
