Lurkerinthewoods said:I can sum it up pretty quickly.. X-Box, PlayStation and absentee parents. I remember spending time in the living room getting whooped up on playing PlayStation boxing with my sons. Now kids spend the day shooting cops and innocent bystanders. When you allow your kids to become desensitized playing these disgusting games, you get kids who bring knives to a fist fight. We can only hope another LEO is around when this worthless POS decides to try again.
I played violent video games growing up. I still do. I'm not trying to throw a fireball at people. Im not trying to hurt people. People like to blame it on everything else but bad parenting.
It does not help. Parenting is number one, but letting children watch/play this stuff is wrong. I'm not saying 100% will end up crazy killers, but if a parent lets a kid watch violent movies or play the games its wrong. Watching a movie like Saw should be shocking, even to an adult, a child should never see that crap. I guess it's a generation thing, I must be getting old.

I feel officers are to eager to to confront with deadly force. I will bet Andy Griffith could have defused the situation and he never carried a gun.
