I travel extensively so I keep one in my truck. I'm more concerned about getting home rather than getting away from home. I keep the basics--boots, socks, season appropriate clothing (right now that means polypro long johns and goretex outer wear), tarp, rope, sleeping bag, a few MRE's, knife, sidearm and ammo, etc. I try to keep it light because I'm not as young as I used to be.
