So I finally got it done. I found that the depth of your rollmarks is more important than anything, shallow marks are extremely difficult to get color in. I did two AR's, one is my Colt LE6920, who's pony rollmark was really light at the top and really deep at the bottom. It made things a little difficult for that part but otherwise it turned really good. The camera shining off the oil gives some of the pics a weird look but they look good in person. The second AR is my Loki .264LBC/6.5G which had very consistent rollmarks and turned out pretty good. I also did some handguns (Beretta 92A1, G21 & M&P40) but since this is about AR's I'll leave them out. All done with nail polish.
