it is. the pic is from just last monday in Muskogee at the old Thunderbird speedway. got the chance to go down and turn some laps on the track as they keep making improvements for specials this year there. Was off racing last weekend and we sucked. We as in I did terrible with diagnosing handling issues and making correct changes. went testing last sunday at Creek County there in Kelleyville. then hit Thunderbird Monday afternoon. Will be back on the track at Humboldt, Ks March 26th and 27th

I’m a dirt track junkie. Never got behind the wheel and it’s probably a good thing. I never generated the kind of finances it takes to run a team. The guy in my avatar is Van Gemmill. You probably race against his son and grandson. My uncle sponsored Van back in the late 70’s through the 80’s. We followed them all through the Midwest. I’m sure I’ll catch you racing somewhere this year.

Gemmel Senior was out of Ponca City for a long time. He has a place near the Arkansas river where he tested his engines, etc. I could hear him when we were fishing that area and it was a beautiful sound.
Don't know where his offspring are at now.

His son is Troy and the grandson is Brandon. Either one could be in a #721 or a #G3

Yeah, they run Wichita and make the weekly trek to Dodge City. Dodge might be the nicest dirt track I’ve ever been to.
