Yeah, they run Wichita and make the weekly trek to Dodge City. Dodge might be the nicest dirt track I’ve ever been to.
I've seen the g3 blue and Yellow car. Couldn't remember first name. Bit Brandon sounds right.

Should try to make it to east side of state and check out salina highbanks. Probably nicest place other than Lucas oil speedway up in Missouri.

Salina has a steakhouse that can be ate at upstairs during races. They got a lot if the lights from old drillers stadium in tulsa. Place is well lit as well as fast.

Been to Salina a few times. It is a nice track just a bit of a haul for me. My brother lives in Far East BA. Usually visit him and catch the races

Gemmel Senior was out of Ponca City for a long time. He has a place near the Arkansas river where he tested his engines, etc. I could hear him when we were fishing that area and it was a beautiful sound.
Don't know where his offspring are at now.
He had property that backed up to the river. We used to take stock tanks and put lawn chairs and an ice chest in them. We’d launch at Vans place and float down to some waiting pickups.

Yep. We started at the dam and floated down to the little creek that backed up to his place and would tuck into there for some beers and a symphony of a high powered engine. Then down to the pickup place.
Did you pick up at the sand pit, old bridge or the new hwy 60 bridge?
