Beavers, pests or pets???

There are two times during the year when beaver come to my attention -- early spring and late fall.

They taste better than deer meat by a longshot! Cut em into chunks, roll in flour and fry it up!

Pests, they dam up a low water bridge I have to cross everyday. They pile some pretty big logs up overnight and pack it with mud, it's crazy how much they can get done in less than 24hrs.They also cut down small trees everywhere which end up causing flat tires on trucks and tractors when someone tries to brush hog.

They taste more like squirrel to me. Kind of a cross between squirrel and rabbit. Much better than deer! And tender. Every part is tender. Not like a deer where you get about 10 pounds of tender meat and the rest gets bigger as you chew.
