I am 8 years post prostatectomy. I found a lot of men don't like to talk about this at all. If your friend wants to ask someone questions I would gladly answer them.

It is a tough decision to make on the treatment, some have progressed in 8 years. I didn't want cancer in me at all, and I was young(55), so I chose prostate removal. If that is the course, then he needs to pick the best guy out there. The guy I chose in Tulsa lives and breaths this procedure, and teaches it to others.

Praying for your friend for sure. One of my coworkers is almost two years past this surgery and has not looked back. All OK as it will be for your friend. Reassure him he’ll be OK. You be OK too.
