So, your not gonna be applying to BUILD an SBR in the typical sense. You will be VOLUNTARILY documenting to our good buddies at the ATF that you are ALREADY in possession of what THEY decided is an EXISTING SBR. Now approving 40 million background checks in 88 days will be a breeze right? Oh and if not approved by day 89 then automatic DENIAL. So now forget about your "free" stamp cuz you now don't qualify. So now they have pictures, fingerprints, location of your ILLEGALLY owned SBR. I'm sure they can borrow a few thousand of the 87,000 new ARMED IRS agents to get this mess cleared up. Hell if you just plead guilty and agree to surrender all your firearms and never own any more you'll probably get off with a fine. We need to contact our local, state, and federal representatives here in Oklahoma (where we still have a few rights) and raise HOLY HELL because as it stands now were at the mercy of some court that has ZERO respect for our God given rights and we literally have no choice other than to BEG for our rights. I've read a bit about history and when we surrender our rights to self protection, we all usually end up with the same thing.....a 1000 years of darkness.

I fall back to this, if you can carry a full auto capable SBR, belt fed machine guns, rockets, suppressors, and explosives for the DOD, then as civilians you can own a semi auto SBR called a pistol and whatever else you want. If we could own 40mm launchers with H.E. rounds, Id own crates of them because they are great. Let the goats be goats and continue to beg for permission and we will continue to watch them get screwed over. When local LE is making public declarations of “will not comply”, people might should join them and again….start making like minded friends with a plan.

I'm against this rule change even though it doesn't affect me, and you are right to be skeptical because of all the ambiguity. But I just wanted to mention that some of the folks saying that have now admitted they jumped the gun a bit. The ambiguity of the whole thing is the main issue, as well as the people who have the foreign made pistols.

Do you have any imported pistols? What about a shotgun with a pistol grip? Imported pistols are now banned. Regardless if they have a brace or not. And according to this rule, anything with a “grip” ahead of the trigger will cause that firearm to be an NFA item. Just because this rule may not affect my firearms, it still affects me. It’s another infringement. One more step towards our disarmament.

I do not have any, but I disagree with the rule and hope it gets reversed. As mentioned above, I think the people with the imported pistols are the worst affected and some of them might be out thousands of dollars over this...it is just wrong. Can they add the necessary number of US parts to them and be in the clear?

For those who think a 1000 years of darkness is overly dramatic please list all the countries in history that have taken away their citizens rights to arm themselves and then returned it to them at a later date..... Overall I agree with your position on what arms we should have access to.
My problem comes in at - LE is making public declarations of “will not comply” . All those public proclamations are little more than pandering to their base. Not a damn one of them will stand between you and the feds. Also, it is my opinion that given the choice of carrying out an unconstitutional order or losing their job or even being arrested themselves 99%+ of them will comply.

No. Not as written. It's turn it into AFT or destroy it. That's it.

ETA: I'm not doing a dang thing until there's some clarity in this mess. Hopefully we get that in the 120 day window.
