I've got 6 kids under the age of 14 at home and I don't know how my wife does it (stay at home Mom). I also grew up with 9 siblings and an extra 5 that were "adopted" into the family, so I don't know what it would be like without chaos...
All I can say is I feel for you and if you want to make the drive and get away for a nap or something I have a spare room with a bed in it you can borrow for a little while. That does not mean however that you can move in. This is a one time one sleep session only deal. Don't need you moving in for a week now do I??
Go fix the plumbing. It might be more peaceful even if you just hung out and didn't fix anything.
This is why the wife and I live in an RV with less than 400 sq. ft. of space. No room for extra folks for very long.

That's what happened in our house. We were lax letting youngest son stay until almost 21. One day I took him around the house and showed him the Couch and recliner, Dining room table with chairs, bedroom with his bed and night stand. Gave him 30 days to get them out of our house into his new home. He understood the gravity of the situation and made it happen.
