I had AT&T for many years. The service was fantastic outside of Oklahoma City. In OKC it was hit or mis. Dropped calls and dead spots. The report app did not do any good for me. Slow/no data, dead spots and dropped calls were a big problem at Tinker and my house (South Moore). I changed to Verizon late last year and could not be happier.
I'm using a iPhone 4S. I wish I had a 5 for the 4G LTE. Make sure you get 4G LTE regardless of phone brand or carrier if you care about data speed. There is a difference between AT&T 4G and 4G LTE. The 4G is really 3G+ and was more of a marketing gimmick. It is a bit faster than 3G on both carriers but not even close to 4G LTE.

After leaving an iPhone...i'd definitely say the Galaxy S3...

but i guess it really comes down to what type of user you will be.....

Galaxy S3 interests me but I'm hearing battery life is worse than the iPhone 4gs, what is your experience with both? I'm an iPhone user but have considered switching to the S3.

so fat ATT is the winner and I want to ask if yall have had dropped calls

I had AT&T for some 9 or 10 years. I last had an iPhone 3G in 2010. The dropped calls at the time were annoying, but didn't seem like that big of a deal. After all, it was still better than I was used to back in 1999, right?

In 2010 I got business phone through Verizon. It's a basic flip phone, so I cannot comment on the data plans or which smart phone is best. But the reception has been fantastic. From what I understand, in Tulsa Verizon built their network from scratch fairly recently; in OKC they assumed the robust Alltel network with that buyout. It's been far and away better than any AT&T service I have ever had. I have probably had only 8-10 dropped calls in OK over 2 and a half years.

If you travel, especially out west, I think you will find that difference is ever more pronounced. In southern CA for example, an AT&T phone is pretty much worthless anytime you are in a valley (and all of the population there is the valleys), while Verzion holds it signal well. In Michigan, I never lost signal with Verizon driving from Detroit across the state trough Ann Arbor and Lansing to Grand Rapids, save for when I was deep inside our corporate building there (where no phone had signal). While driving though rural KS, I rarely lost signal; and I always had it in KC (I think tower sharing with Sprint helped out, since Sprint is saturated in KC).

If you are looking for a one phone plan and would pay a bit more for the reliability, I would recommend Verizon without reservation.

My wife and I switched to US Cellular a few years ago. I had ATT and the Customer Service at USC is 10x better than ATT. We dont have a smart phone so I cannot speak for that.

I was very happy with sprint, but my company wanted to pay for my phone bill including data since I'm technically on call when I'm not there. They use ATT, I switched over around the beginning of august and haven't had any issues with service. I'm using the samsung galaxy s3 and I've been very pleased.

We moved from AT&T to Verizon the plus years ago. Currently 25 lines off service. Jobs going on in three states. We canned all of our wireless hotspots(Mifi devices) and use the smart phones as the hotspots for internet access on the jobsites.

Coverage access speed(4g) cant be beat. No regrets on three switch.

Pick your poison iphone or android. The only thing apple offers that android does not is a pair of white headphones that supposedly fit the ear better.

If I were buying a new phone today it would be a Samsung galaxy s3.

AT&T and Galaxy SIII. I drug my feet on getting a Smart phone and ran across a promo where they were offering them for 96 cents. I have always had AT&T and had good experiencd with their customer service and coverage. I travel quite a bit and the only place i have had an issue was around Guymon. I had no issues in any of the states i work in , CA IA NE SD KS MO IL AL FL TX NM PA.

The screen is huge on the Samsung, and I don't think i have talked to anyone that has scrarched the Gorilla glass even without a Zagg. I bought a Zagg and took it back. Battery life does well, stand by lasts easily a day and a half. Talk time about 12 hours. The wifi feature works great. I can be on wifi, listen to Pandora for 8 hours and still have about 35% battery. Apps store is great, lots of apps, lot of them free.

Check and see but i think AT&T is the only one that had 4G capability on the Samsung. My kids that change phones constantly love mine and are very impressed with the camera. They have iphone 3 & 4 and want to upgrade to Samsung.

We are considering switching to ATT. Reason is where we are is a dead zone, dropped calls. Can drive 2-3 blocks and cell is ok.

Currently on US Cellular and they say there are no plans for a new tower in our area.
