Buffett along with Bill Gates has already put his money where his mouth is. Both has already given away the bulk of their fortunes. This is while both are alive. so yes he has already paid with his personal share.

go check the numbers ... it's a fact oil companies receive HUGE handouts from you and me the tax payer. this includes more than just tax breaks. Fact is NO one willingly gives up $$$$ billions of handouts.

run-up of fuel prices these last few years has resulted in largest transfer of wealth in history of the world.

amazing how one almost NEVER sees in main stream news.... fuel prices was not only a direct cause for plunging world into recession. but the primary reason world is in recession belongs to high fuel prices. it's not possible to extract $$$$ (trillions) from the world in such a short time span without side effects.

this second recession dip we are experiencing can be traced directly back to higher fuel prices. Yet we almost never see this discussed. Yes these same Oil companies that are making most profit of any companies in history of the world... are the same still receiving $$$ billions from you and me the tax payer.

does this need to stop... yes!!! the demo did try recently to stop some of this HUGE $$$ giveaways to a few corporate goliaths. which was blocked by the republicans.

history has shown it's simply not possible to balance the national budget without painful cuts and increases in revenue at the same time.

if Warren Buffet thinks he should pay his personal share, all he has to do is take no deductions on his 1040 form.
the government does not hold a gun to your head and force you to take these deductions.
he's just another greedy rich guy who takes every deduction possible and then blames somebody else.

Another interesting note on those tax breaks for oil companies, they are the very same tax loopholes available to every company that mines, gets part of their profits from overseas, etc. They are getting NO special tax breaks.

Also balancing the budget could very easily be done with nothing but spending cuts if the jerks in DC would cut out the waste, duplication, fraud, etc.

Why do we never hear people crying about the handouts for "green" energy? I seen on MSNBC "of all places" that only 8% of energy subsidize was for oil. Morning Joe was asking why the left never cry about the other 92% that is going to windmills, solar,...... All you ever hear from the left is "big oil". I think we all know why, but it gets old.

Depends on how you calculate 'subsidies'.

The nuclear industry gets one of the largest subsidies.
Since no insurance company in the world will sell the nuclear power industry liablility insurance, the federal government provides that small necessity that makes it possible for private investors to invest in the technology.
The profits are private, but if something bad happens the costs are public.
Sound familiar??? Wall street banks maybe???

Then there is oil....
When they calculate the oil subsidies they sure Don't add in the cost of keeping the straights of hormuz open to shipping.
That's because those costs are folded into the pentagon budget so it makes oil look cheaper than what it really costs.
If the costs of protecting oil shipping lanes were visible in the price of gasoline it would look a lot more expensive and the pentagon budget would look a lot smaller.

There shouldn't be any subsidies at all, for anyone.
The only reason they exist is because of political pressure and influence.

As for Berkshire Hathaway, the company leadership has a fiduciary responsibility to maximize profits to the fund shareholders to the limit of the law.
My retirement fund wouldn't have it any other way.

You could replace "higher fuel prices" with "Reptilians" in the above quote and not be any further from making sense than you currently are.

fiduciary duty

Definition

A legal obligation of one party to act in the best interest of another. The obligated party is typically a fiduciary, that is, someone entrusted with the care of money or property.

What is meant by "fiduciary duty"? What is the definition of the term "fiduciary duty"?

You have likely run across the term "fiduciary duty" when reading up about a takeover or a potential takeover or a lawsuit regarding a potential takeover.

You probably saw the term "fiduciary duty" included in a phrase such as this: "XYZ had a fiduciary duty to the shareholders in his company".

If you own shares in a company, then you have a "fiduciary relation" with the people that run that company.

You are placing your trust in the people that run the company, and, in return, they promise to act ethically and in the best interests of the shareholders of the company. The people that run the company are expected to put the interests of the company ahead of their own. They are managing YOUR money, and thus a special bond is born.

George (Soros) isn't that how you got started plundering your fellow Jews in benefit to yourself and Adolf? Just a thought.

Well, I guess we're off topic, but isn't it interesting that the ADL has defended Soros against the absurd charges that he "plundered' the Jews as a 17 year old?
Then again, are we going to believe the Becks and Limbaughs of the world or a bunch of Jews?
The goy radio hucksters obviously know more about the holocaust than a bunch of Jews could ever know.
...Just a thought
