You would have been out a phone call…Ouch! That hurts.
I recently had a bad alternator leave me stranded in MWC at 2am. Fortunately I was with my cousin in his own car so we pushed it into a business parking lot and he gave me a ride to Shawnee and back the next day to fix it after picking up parts on the way. Without his help I would have been out a lot more money than I was.
The tow bill back to OKC was a different story though........
Those weekend after hours rates are a doosy.....
Use AAA once and you've covered your annual membership fee. I've been with them 43 years. They've saved my ass countless times. That's why God created AAA,,,
It has saved my bacon on more occasions than I want to count.
When I got my first car,,,
My grandfather bought me a one year contract.
I've been a member for over 50 years and even with the premium near $100/year now,,,
I still think I'm money ahead with all the flats, dead batteries, and lockouts I've had.
Just six months ago I gave my brother an old Toyota truck that needed help,,,
AAA towed it from Ripley to OK City (under 100 miles) at no cost.
I'm 72 years old now and don't want to change a tire again,,,
AAA allows 5 service calls/tows per year,,,
Definitely worth the premium,,,
Even if you use it once.

P.S. My friend's 19 year old daughter blew a tire and her spare was flat,,,
The towing company that the OHP called to help her,,,
Charged $180.00 to come out and air up her spare.
