I see ad's for handguns here and else where that say carried but never fired, is that common? seems like a really bad idea to me. any body do it that can explain the logic?

I have fired every firearm that I own. Why have them if you ain't gonna use them? They are too fun not to. Some people really have no idea what they are missing out on.

Running a new carry gun through a class is a good way to bump up the round count and get an idea of its reliability when it is hot and dirty.

I bought a Kahr CW .380 about 9 months ago. I had to run about 150 rds. through it before it would empty a mag without jamming. I would never carry a gun if I wasn't sure it would run with the ammo I like to carry.
