Cleaning up my shop. Military left overs

Found these while cleaning my shop. Old .50 cal cases from my days in the military. Had no idea why I kept them but I am sure I had a reason. Anyhow I am trying to find a cool use for them. Any ideas?

A friend of mine took a few and Pinched or glued a ceiling fan pull chain/string in it to make for better and certainly unique pull chains on his fans. If you do, make sure you do em high enough that your taller friends (like me) don’t clock our forehead with them every time we visit our hobbit friends.

I'm surprised no one has said buy a .50 cal rifle and reload them. I thought it was sop to buy firearms for brass you have.
