Most likely, yes. The scholarship and the NIL money come from different sources. It’s not like the kid borrowing money to go to school was going to get that scholarship money, anyway—it was donated to the university for the expressed purpose of paying for athletes to go to school there, so using it for another purpose is malfeasance (just like it’d be malfeasance to use an academic scholarship to pay for an athlete’s education).
Yeah, point being the ludicrousness of it..

That's correct. Like Stutsman giving away part of his NIL to walk-ons, because he still has a full ride plus the NIL perks.
