The trigger, while it is very smooth, is apparantly something that I'll have to become accustomed to, as the muzzle tends to wander when I reach the end of the cycle. I'm hoping that the Hogue grips I just ordered from Midway will help with that, as my hands are quite large.

I have also got to get my ammo from my house in Oklahoma up to here.

Some of that wandering will be that sub-29oz weight. How does DA/SA stack up to the 681?

Quite favorably, I think. And you are very likely correct in that at least some it is the light weight of the Viper especially when compared with an L-frame or heavier S&W.

Well, no rocket science on my part, as a lighter gun is going to be more squirrely than heavier, especially in DA, but that's one of those trade-offs, and seems worth it on a sub-29oz 4"bbl carry revolver with good sight radius, as squirrels can be trained, but not distance between sights. Nobody can complain on high MSRP on the Viper, either, it's listed true mainstream.
